SCHUMACHER, your 2012 Spring/Summer Suit

This suit is a Corporate Stunner.
Bold, oh yes it is, but that's what this blog is all about; pushing the envelope of workplace style.

Sheen is totally in (and will be through all seasons of 2012, and trust me ... 2013)!
I just bought a stunning gold sheen thread enhanced suit by Theory.  The pants, dress, jacket and skirt (ok, the dress paired with a boatneck sweater) had me covered in compliments at the office as well as on the weekends and during afterwork hours.

this Gold boucle metallic SCHUMACHER dress is a hit!  I'd save this envelope pusher for a night you have somewhere to go after work!

the matching jacket is also a perfect mix and match, either with the dress, or a hot black or spring color ensamble! SO FLATTERING and JUST STUNNING!

I'd invest on these pieces but if you can't, for a more affordable way get the office style gold star try the
Ann Tayor Starlight Top for a great sophisticated color & sheen and a stunning and sophisticated back.

Keep pushing the envelope and truly shine with these looks!

The Akris Ai Tote

The Akris Ai Tote is currently my favorite bag on the market!

The family-owned Swiss house Akris is guided by Creative Director Albert Kriemler. His grandmother launched the line in 1922 and drew the name from her own initials (Alice Kriemler Schoch). Today the company has earned a reputation for exceptionally well-tailored dresses, suits and separates. Each piece is still designed and produced in Switzerland.

With the Akris Ai bag Albert Kriemler lends his architectural eye to this unusually shaped, precision-tailored tote.

This fabulous bag comes in many different sizes as seen above, and in textures that include plain wool, printed wool, horsehair, deerskin, and even ostrich.

My favorite of the line is the Akris Ai Horsehair Tote where the clean lines showcase the splendid texture of horsehair, hand woven on antique looms.

These bags are a real investment with a price tag from around $1,000 to around $5,000.  However, I am a firm believer in investing in that perfect handbag!  I still have my 1st Louis Vuitton that's 10 years old, in pristine condition and still huge in the Louis Vuitton product line.

The right bag is lasting and the style can be timeless; just look at the Hermes Kelly and Birkin, or the Louis Vuitton Speedy.  In my opinion, the Akris Ai bag which is a couple years old, is a lasting style that is going to be on the market for sometime now.

Some other styles are:

If you love the folded over look like I do, some of my favorite weekend clutches are the De Manta leather clutch by Alexander Mcqueen for $695

and the
OVERSIZED FOLDED CLUTCH IN YELLOW $605 or MEDIUM FOLDED CLUTCH IN YELLOW  $485 by one of my favorite new handbag designers Emily Cho!

Time to put your money into the right bag....

Little Surfer Girl, by Harvey Faircloth

I am beyond obsessed with the Surf Printed Long Sleeve Dress by Harvey Faircloth.  This is hands down one of the most spectacular dresses I've seen in a long time!  This dress is perfect for evenings, weekends, travel, and parties! Personally, with a gorgeous dress like this, I'd even wear it to the office on the right day, but know your forum and do whats appropriate for that environment.
If I were only to buy one dress season, I think this would have to be it!

HARVEY FAIRCLOTH
is dedicated to creating spirited, off-kilter classics for modern women. The collection is designed by Katie Hatch, whose rodeo cowboy father and barrel-racing mother brought her up to be unafraid of hard work and high temperatures. As a result, you might say that the impossibly chic and razor-sharp clothing has a certain plucky, pioneering spirit. And this is really the idea behind HARVEY FAIRCLOTH.
Hatcher has created wearable art with the Surf Printed Long Sleeve Dress so if the $695.00 is too steep for your budget, I'd print out a quality photo of this dress and bask in its detail.

*for a styling note, pair this dress with some simple nautical earrings like the

Green with Office Style Envy

Even though St.Patrick's Day is on a Saturday this year, it got me thinking about previous years when I'd try to be festive and incorporate a bit of green into my office attire.  Green on St.Patrick's Day, Red on St.Valentines Day, etc... is difficult to do without it being a bit cheesy.  Incorporating a splash of color is always a great idea on any day to ramp up your office style, so here is a post on how to wear green to the office, courtroom, or wherever your line of work may take you.   Who knows, if you didn't find that four leaf clover or pot of gold yet, maybe seeing green will help bring in the green!
